Rainbow is the best equipped private equine hospital in the North and the only one to have all of the diagnostic imaging modalities required for equine lameness investigation; MRI, CT, nuclear scintigraphy (bone scan) radiography and ultrasonography. Lameness examinations are often performed at the hospital by the on-the-road vets. Repeated nerve blocks and repeated examinations can be performed more effectively at the hospital. Lameness referrals are seen by Jonathan Anderson BVM&S DipACVS MRCVS, Barny Fraser BVSc MSc CertES(Orth) DipECVS MRCVS or Moses Brennan BVSc CertES(Orth) MRCVS who each have over 10 years of experience equine referral practice.
The hospital also has both hard and soft trot up areas and a full-size all-weather ménage for thorough ridden assessment.
